| abstract | 1. A low gloss thermoplastic resin composition with a soft touch surface, comprising:! (A) from about 10 to 80% by weight of a soft rubbery vinyl aromatic copolymer resin, which comprises rubber particles as a dispersed phase with a grafted polymer fraction of about 40 to 90% and an average particle diameter of about 6 to 20 microns; ! (B) about 4 to about 60 weight percent of a rubber modified vinyl aromatic copolymer resin; and ! (C) about 5 to about 80 wt% vinyl aromatic-vinyl cyanide copolymer resin. ! 2. The thermoplastic resin of claim 1, wherein the soft rubbery vinyl aromatic copolymer (A) has a swelling index of about 13 to about 30.! 3. The thermoplastic resin of claim 1, wherein the soft rubbery vinyl aromatic copolymer (A) comprises a matrix comprising a vinyl aromatic-vinyl cyanide copolymer; and rubber particles that are dispersed in the matrix and have a grafted polymer fraction of approximately 40 to 90% and have an average particle diameter of approximately 6 to 20 microns. ! 4. The thermoplastic resin of claim 1, wherein vinyl aromatic monomers, vinyl cyanide monomers, vinyl aromatic-vinyl cyanide copolymer, or mixtures of these compounds are contained within the rubber particles. ! 5.
