| abstract | 1. A yeast cell comprising the yeast cell wall containing clay or a clay component embedded in said yeast cell wall. 2. A yeast cell according to claim 1, characterized in that said yeast cell is grown in a cell culture medium containing clay. The yeast cell according to claim 2, characterized in that said clay is a mineral clay or synthetic clay belonging to a silicate group. The yeast cell according to claim 3, characterized in that said clay is selected from the group consisting of zeolite, bentonite, aluminosilicate, montmorillonite, smectite, kaolinite, organoclay and mixtures thereof. 5. The yeast cell according to claim 4, characterized in that said clay is aluminosilicate clay. The yeast cell according to claim 2, characterized in that the amount of clay in said cell culture medium is from about 0.125% to 4.0%. The yeast cell according to claim 6, characterized in that the amount of clay in said cell culture medium is from about 0.5% to 2.0%. The yeast cell according to claim 1, characterized in that said yeast is selected from the group consisting of Saccharomyces, Candida, Kluyveromyces, Torulaspora, and combinations thereof. The yeast cell of claim 8, wherein said yeast is Saccharomyces cerevisiae. 10. A composition comprising an extract of a yeast cell wall with embedded clay or a clay-containing component. 11. The composition of claim 10, wherein the yeast cell wall extract with embedded clay or clay-containing component is obtained from yeast cells grown in a nutrient medium containing clay.
