titleOfInvention | Bandage for treating wounds and method for its production |
abstract | FIELD: medicine; treatment of wounds, burns and decubitus ulcers. SUBSTANCE: bandage comprises polyvinyl alcohol, glycerol and alpha-cyanacrylate/polyacrylic acid copolymer. method for producing bandage resides in the following: alpha-cyanacrylate solution in nonpolar organic solvent is emulsified in aqueous solution of polyacrylic acid, glycerol and polyvinyl alcohol. Then absorption regulator, namely, furagin, silver nitrate or trimecain, are added. Components are taken if the following ratio, wt.-%: alpha-cyanacrylate/ polyacrylic acid copolymer, 32-69l glycerol, 11-17; polyvinyl alcohol, 2-27; absorption regulator, 2-30. In addition, bandage may comprise 3-30 wt.-% of pharmaceutical dioxidine preparation (based on total content of other above-mentioned components). As nonpolar organic solvent method uses mixture with the following composition, vol.%: chloroform, 99-94.7; and hexane, 1.-5.3. Mixture is taken in amount equal to 70-90 vol. % based on total weight of chloroform, hexane and alpha-cyanacrylate. Bandage may comprise several layers held together by perforations. Bandage possesses enhanced moisture absorption up to 6200-20000%, elongation at rupture 65-75 kg/sq.cm, and well-developed and uniform porosity. Wounds dressed by bandage are healed faster by factor of 2-3.6. EFFECT: faster healing of wounds. 3 cl, 2 dwg |
