abstract | FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves incubating laid seeds by reducing their moisture content for 1-7 days at temperature of 3-40 C or by exposing them to the action of osmotic agent for 1-7 days, with water potential being within the range of 0.5-4.0 MPa, or by exposing seeds to thermal shock of from 25 C to 45 C for 1-5 hours, or by combination of mentioned procedures; providing additional drying of seeds to obtain predetermined moisture content. Seeds treated by such method have storage time exceeding that of common seeds by 35%, and germination rate shorter than that of common seeds by 60%.
