FIELD: electrical engineering; electrical machine winding insulation. SUBSTANCE: proposed insulating mica tape 11 has one or more layers 4 of layer-forming fabric carrier and mica layer 5. Carrier is produced from longitudinal fibers 7a and transversal fibers 7b whose relative ratio by volume is equal to or greater than 2.5:1 and layer 5 is pure mica layer of high packing density.
