abstract FIELD: welding processes and equipment, namely apparatuses for diffusion butt welding of annular blanks of different type metals. n SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes vacuum chamber for placing blank. Said chamber is in the form of thin-wall fluid-tight envelope of ductile metal with wall thickness no more than 3 mm. Chamber with blanks is arranged in gasostat with heating source combined with means for compressing blanks.
