| abstract | FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a [ 18 F]fluoride solution, involving: (1) bringing a [ 18 F]fluoride solution in water into contact with a cryptand bound to a solid support of formula (I): linker-cryptand (I), at pH lower than 5, to form a cryptand-[ 18 F]fluoride complex of formula (II): solid support-linker-cryptand 18 F - (II), removing excess water from the cryptand-[ 18 F]fluoride complex of formula (II); (3) washing the cryptand-[ 18 F]fluoride complex of formula (II) with a solution of a base having pKa of at least 9 in order to free [ 18 F]fluoride into the solution.
