titleOfInvention Method of determining sensitivity of pathogenic bacteria to complex anti-bacterial preparations
abstract FIELD: biotechnology. n SUBSTANCE: sensitivity of the bacteria that cause intestinal infections, to complex anti-bacterial preparations, is determined. Dilution of anti-bacterial preparations is carried out at a concentration of 10 mcg/ml in culture medium with pH of 7.2-7.6. The prepared suspension of bacteria is placed into wells containing prepared dilutions. The indicator - 0.5% solution of bromocresol purple in the amount of 10 mcl is added. It is incubated for 3-4 hours. The visual assessment of growth of bacteria and evaluation of colour of the medium in the well is carried out when achievement of the medium pH of 5.2-6.8. The conclusion is made on sensitivity of the bacteria to complex anti-bacterial preparations by the presence or absence of bacterial growth and the change in colour of the medium from red to yellow. The bacteria with absence of growth the change in colour of the culture medium with anti-bacterial preparations are considered to be sensible. The bacteria with observed growth and the change in colour of the medium with anti-bacterial preparations are considered to be resistant. n EFFECT: invention enables to reduce the time for determining sensitivity of bacteria that cause intestinal infections in animals, to complex anti-bacterial preparations. n 3 tbl, 1 ex
