abstract FIELD: metallurgy. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydrometallurgy of uranium. Method of extracting uranium from uranium-containing ores includes leaching ore with a sulphuric leaching solution with an oxidant containing persulphuric acid. Oxidant used is obtained by electrolysis of a solution containing not less than 500 g/l H 2 SO 4, sulphate solution of persulphuric acid H 2 S 2 O 8 , containing H 2 S 2 O 8 in amount of 140÷300 g/l and H 2 SO 4 in amount of 390÷200 g/l. Leaching is carried out with sulphuric leaching solution with concentration of persulphuric acid of not less than 0.5 g/l, preferably 0.5-1 g/l. n EFFECT: obtaining oxidant directly in sections of underground or heap leaching, which enables to avoid imported oxidants during extraction of uranium from uranium-containing ore. n 1 cl, 1 ex
