FIELD: items for personal use. n SUBSTANCE: absorbent article comprising a front region, a back region and a perineal region extending between and connecting the front region and the back region generally comprises an absorbent assembly extending longitudinally between the front region and the rear region and a waist portion attached to the absorbent assembly along the front region and the back region. The absorbent assembly comprises an inner layer facing the wearer, an outer layer facing away from the wearer, and an absorbent structure disposed between the inner and outer layers.
