abstract | FIELD: machine building. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for coating a segment of a pipe used for the transportation of domestic and drinking water. Method described comprising applying, as a result of the electrodeposition, a coating composition to a pipe segment, wherein the coating composition comprises: (i) (meth) acrylic polymer dispersed in an aqueous dispersion medium and obtained by polymerization in the presence of a polymeric dispersant containing a cationic salt group, a polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated monomer composition comprising a mixture of ethylenically unsaturated monomers, at least one of which contains at least two ethylenically unsaturated groups per molecule; (ii) electrodeposited cationic resin binder containing active hydrogen atom groups; and (iii) curing agent reactive with respect to the groups of the active hydrogen atom.
