FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for fermenting low molecular weight sugar. Method for fermenting low molecular weight sugar is provided, which comprises mixing, in an aqueous medium, low molecular weight sugar, one or more fermenting microorganisms, a lignocellulosic material irradiated with ionising radiation with an irradiation dose of 0.25 Mrad to 10 Mrad. Fermenting microorganisms bind on lignocellulosic material irradiated with ionising radiation. Fermentation of low molecular weight sugar is carried out to obtain a fermentation product. Microorganism is a yeast fungus or bacterium, and the fermentation product is selected from a group consisting of mono- and polyfunctional C1-C6 alkyl alcohols, mono- and polyfunctional carboxylic acids, C1-C6 hydrocarbons and combinations thereof. n EFFECT: invention provides efficient fermentation of low molecular weight sugar. n 15 cl, 64 dwg, 78 tbl, 32 ex |
