titleOfInvention | Smoking article with valve |
abstract | FIELD: smoking accessories.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a smoking article which comprises a combustible heat source having opposed front and rear surfaces; one or more channels for the flow of air passing from the front surface to the rear surface of the combustible heat source; substrate forming an aerosol located behind the rear surface of the combustible heat source; and a thermostatic bimetallic valve positioned between the rear surface of the combustible heat source and the aerosol forming substrate, wherein the thermostatic bimetallic valve is adapted to deform from a first position in which the valve substantially prevents or suppresses fluid communication between one or more air flow channels and the aerosol forming substrate to a second position in which one or more air flow paths and a substrate, forming the aerosol are in fluid communication when the thermostatic bimetallic valve is heated above the threshold temperature.EFFECT: providing an aerosol to the user.15 cl, 13 dwg, 1 tbl |
