FIELD: technological processes.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to use of compositions of performic acid for removing increasing biofilm and mineral deposits on membranes. Method of removing microorganisms and mineral deposits from membrane system includes: bringing membrane into contact with a composition of performic acid containing performic acid, formic acid and hydrogen peroxide, wherein the composition is membrane compatible and does not damage the membrane based on the membrane flow reduction measurement results; and removing growing bacteria and dissolving mineral deposits on membrane.EFFECT: disclosed are performic acid compositions for purification of membrane filtration systems.41 cl, 5 dwg, 12 tbl |
