abstract |
FIELD: manufacturing technology. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing aromatic compounds, involving: reforming a stream of naphtha in a reforming zone under reforming conditions to form a reformer effluent containing aromatic compounds and non-aromatic compounds, wherein at least part of aromatic compounds contains alkyl groups; heating the effluent reformer stream and directing the reformer effluent directly to the acid cracking reaction zone; selective cracking of non-aromatic compounds and selective dealkylation of at least a portion of alkyl groups in aromatic compounds in the presence of an acid cracking catalyst in an acidic cracking reaction zone in acid cracking conditions to form a cracked reformer effluent stream containing aromatic compounds and cracked olefins cracked, wherein said acid cracking catalyst has an MFI type structure and does not contain a hydrogenating metal.
