titleOfInvention Method of making impregnated fiber assembly
abstract FIELD: production of composite materials. n SUBSTANCE: present invention provides a method of making an impregnated fiber assembly, which can be used for making composite materials. Method includes following stages: laying of first hollow fiber structure into mold, introduction of first suspension containing first powder of solid particles into inner volume, limited by the inner surface of the fiber structure placed in the mold, centrifugal force impact for impregnation of the first fiber structure by the first suspension during mold rotation. After impregnation on the inner surface of the first fiber structure, a second fiber structure is placed, after which a second suspension is introduced into the inner volume, containing second powder of solid particles. Impregnation of second fiber structure with second suspension is also carried out during mold rotation. Fiber assembly is obtained with controlled distribution of solid particles, matrix material being formed during further sintering. Ceramic, metal or carbon powder is used for impregnation. Fibers can be made of ceramics or carbon. n EFFECT: method enables to obtain articles of complex shape with a given distribution of the matrix phase. n 9 cl, 1 ex, 11 dwg
