abstract | FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical engineering, specifically to a method of producing soda ash from natural soda-containing material for use in glass industry, specifically in production of transparent glass containers for food industry. Method involves carbonisation of aqueous solution of natural soda with carbonising gas to form a suspension of sodium bicarbonate, filtration and washing of sodium bicarbonate followed by calcination. Prior to carbonisation, aqueous solution of natural soda is treated with sodium hydroxide solution with subsequent filtration of precipitate. Carbonation was carried out in a reactor containing a static mixer vane media "gas-fluid", by dispersing carbonization gas pressure 1.0-4.0 kg/cm2in a circulating aqueous solution of soda at a ratio of natural gas flow and liquid 1:50-1000.EFFECT: higher degree of extraction of sodium carbonate from initial raw material and reduced impurities of iron in obtained calcined soda.6 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl, 6 ex |
