FIELD: glass industry.SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a system of frit, granules and/or concentrates for use in glass compositions, which is capable of imparting a fluorescent effect to glass. Said systems have the following composition, wt %: 15–65 % SiO2, 0–5 % Al2O3, 3–25 % B2O3, 5–15 % Na2O, 0–8 % CaO, 30–65 % RE, 0–15 % Li2O, or 15–65 % SiO2, 0–5 % B2O3, 5–30 % Na2O, 0–5 % CaO, 30–65 % RE, wherein RE is europium oxide, terbium oxide, dysprosium oxide, gadolinium oxide, samarium oxide, thulium oxide, cerium oxide or combinations thereof. Disclosed compositions are free of at least one of nickel, chromium, lead and cadmium.
