titleOfInvention | Implantable access device for providing access to cardiovascular system of human or animal body |
abstract | FIELD: medical equipment.SUBSTANCE: implantable access device for providing access to the cardiovascular system of a human or animal body is a subcutaneously implantable access port that contains an inlet, an outlet, and a passage between the inlet and outlet. In the specified passage, it additionally contains a valve assembly made with the possibility, in the first, inactive, working state, to prevent the flow of fluid through the passage, and in the second, activated, working state, to ensure the flow of fluid through the passage. The valve assembly, in the first, inactive, working state, is longitudinally stretched and radially compressed in such a way that to prevent the flow of fluid through the passage. The valve assembly, in the second, activated, operating state, is longitudinally compressed and radially stretched in such a way that to ensure the flow of fluid through the passage. The device additionally contains a needle receiver located in the passage for receiving a needle inserted into the inlet. The needle receiver is preferably made with the possibility to prevent the needle from passing through the needle receiver. The needle receiver is made with the possibility of moving in the longitudinal direction of the passage to activate the valve assembly.EFFECT: providing an implantable device for high costs related to fluid replacement therapy, which minimizes the risk of damage caused by the inserted needle.13 cl, 8 dwg |
