abstract | FIELD: foundry production.SUBSTANCE: method for manufacturing nonfired ceramic rods in die casting using self-hardening mixtures includes the preparation of a self-hardening mixture in air, its vacuuming, the manufacture of raw rods and their drying. Raw rods are made by pressing into metal single or multi-impression molds. The self-hardening mixture in air contains, wt. %: refractory filler: granular white electrocorundum 0.01-18.5, hardener: alkaline earth metal oxide 6.5-10.5 and a ready-to-use suspension of subsequent layers based on a highly alkaline water-colloidal binder being the rest. Drying of pressed raw rods is carried out when they are loaded into a cold oven, then heated to 100°C at a speed of ≤5°C/min, kept at 100°C until moisture is completely removed, but not less than 6 hours, and cooled with an oven to 20°C.EFFECT: formation of defects of the “gas porosity” type is reduced in castings made of heat-resistant alloys with an equiaxial structure.20 cl, 4 tbl, 6 ex |
