titleOfInvention Neutral and gamma-photon production method
abstract The invention relates to nuclear energy, and in particular to a method for producing neutrons and gamma rays in a pulsed-periodic mode at room temperatures, and is aimed at increasing the yield of neutrons and gamma rays to a level of practical interest. A sample of a transition or rare-earth metal and / or an alloy based on them is saturated with deuterium and a mechanical or thermal treatment is performed to create structural inhomogeneities in the metal or alloy. The sample processed in this way is subjected to a pulsed action, accompanied by the passage of a shock wave, the amplitude of which does not exceed 100 GPa, and the relative change in the volume of the metal does not exceed 30% and the temperature of the shock-compressed metal is 3000 K. The pulsed action can be carried out by mechanical or electrical action using laser radiation. Mechanical processing is carried out by rolling metal, and thermal by annealing and / or hardening.
