The method for controlling the condition of roller bearings comprises radial pressing of roller segments (16) and bearings (14) on shafts (18) in an extruder. Also claimed is apparatus implementing the process. CLAIMED APPARATUS - The apparatus (20) has base plates (22) and sensors (28) for the bearings (14). EMBODIMENT - A drive wheel (30) system rotates the segments (16) in order to gauge the bearing water. |
