The absorber rod for a nuclear reactor comprises (1) several wings (13), each having a rectangular shape, the longitudinal axis of which extending in longitudinal direction of the absorber rod, whereby the wings are interconnected along their longest sides thus forming a cruciform cross-section of the absorber rod, (2) an upper end section fitted to the top end of each wing introduced into the reactor core, (3) a lower end section connected to the bottom end of each wing introduced into the reactor core, (4) a centre connecting element interconnecting the upper- and lower end section to support the wing and (5) an arrangement formed in the wing to accommodate a neutron absorber. |
