titleOfInvention WATER AIR
abstract The invention is a method of releasing and mixing gas in a fluid and a device for executing the method at low energy consumption. The invention is designed as a channel (3) standing vertically in the fluid (2) and open at both ends through which the fluid (2) in which air or another gas is to be released and mixed is forcefully moved from near the fluid surface to near the bottom of the fluid volume (2).The air or gas to be released and mixed in the fluid (2) must be above the free surface of the fluid (2). Above the fluid surface (2), within the area of the channel's upper orifice (3), there is one or more downward pointing fluid streams (5). When they pass through the surrounding air/gas, they draw the air/gas through the surface of the fluid (2) and into the channel orifice (3). The turbulence of the streams (5) when they break through and just under the surface of the fluid (2) releases a great deal of air/gas into the fluid (2) that flows down through the channel (3).<IMAGE>
