titleOfInvention Surge arrester
abstract An object of the invention is an overvoltage arrester for electrotechnical devices with an indicator of a failure with a signaling pin which is directly or indirectly resilient from the baseline position signaling the ability of the surge arrester to operate in the position of indicating a failure upon a faulty heating of the overvoltage arrester, the signaling pin being held in the base position in the position which is prestressed against the force of the spring, and thus is capable of being positioned in the position indicating the failure, that the short-circuit current flows through the surge arrester and heats it or its construction parts, it is improved so that it can be made cost-effective and easy with only a little time consuming by holding a retaining part from the low-melting lithium in the baseline position held by the surge arrester with a signaling pin, the retaining portion retaining parts of the overvoltage arrester which, in the event of a failure, is heated, and in the event of a malfunction when heating parts of the overvoltage a arrestor stopped and released a signaling pin.
