abstract The invention relates to radio engineering and electronic communications and can be used in various industries in shock-butt-welding capacitor welding. The purpose of the invention is to improve the accuracy of quality control of welded joints during impact-butt capacitor welding of rods. The device contains sensors for welding voltage, welding current and acceleration of the moving electrode, current, voltage, acceleration, thermal reserve comparators. There is also a mode control unit, a welded joint quality indicator forming unit, pulse shapers, a diagnostic indication unit, a classifier, an automatic actuator, an analog signal multiplier and an electrical model. An analog signal multiplier allows the arc power to be determined from the output signals of current and voltage sensors. The electric model of the rolling thermal field and the thermal reserve comparator allow accurate determination of the degree of heating of the rods being welded, taking into account the removal of metal from the electric arc zone, which contributes to an increase in the accuracy of quality control of welded joints. 3 il.
