A process is described for the separation of metallic corrosion products of low water-rate carboxylation catalyst solutions containing rhodium and alkali metal components. This process involves contacting the catalyst solution with an ion exchange resin, preferably in the form of lithium, and enough water to reduce the concentrations of alkali metal ions to optimize the separation of corrosion metal products. |
