abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a polarizing film having less color unevenness and a uniform thickness. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the polarizing film in which a polyvinyl alcohol-based film is sequentially subjected to swelling, dyeing, boric acid treatment, washing and drying, and in at least two steps of the treatment steps, a peripheral speed difference is provided between two nip rolls for carrying the film to stretch the film, when the film is immersed in a boric acid solution in the boric acid treatment step, the film is immersed in noncontact with a roll and the time from the immersion to first contact with a roll in the boric acid solution is 0.4-5 s. |
