abstract | A method for producing organic silicon compound, comprising a step of reacting a compound represented by the following formula (4) with a compound represented from the following formula (5) to obtain a compound represented by the following formula (1), and a step of reacting an organic silicon compound represented by the following formula (1) obtained in the foregoing step with a metal compound represented by the following formula (2) to obtain an organic silicon compound represented by the following formula (3): R.sup.2.sub.nX.sub.mSi-R.sup.1-SiX.sub.mR.sup.2.sub.n (1) (In the formula, R.sup.1 represents a substituted or non-substituted methylene group, substituted or non-substituted alkylene group having 2 to 10 carbon atoms, and substituted or non-substituted arylene group having 6 to 12 carbon atoms. R.sup.2 are respectively the same or different and represent substituted or non-substituted alkyl groups having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, substituted or non-substituted alkenyl groups having 2 to 10 carbon atoms, substituted or non-substituted alkynyl groups having 2 to 10 carbon atoms or substituted or non-substituted aryl groups having 6 to 12 carbon atoms. X are the same or different and represent hydrogen atoms or halogen atoms. m and n are the same or different and represent integers of 0 to 3. m+n=3 (wherein at least one of two m is above 1) ); M(OR.sup.4).sub.r (2) (in the formula, M represents a metal element. r represents the valence of the metal element. R.sup.4 are the same or different and represent substituted or non-substituted alkyl groups having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, substituted or non-substituted alkenyl groups having 2 to 10 carbon atoms, substituted or non-substituted alkynyl groups having 2 to 10 carbon atoms, or substituted or non-substituted aryl groups having 6 to 12 carbons); R.sup.2.sub.n(OR.sup.4).sub.mSi-R.sup.1-Si(OR.sup.4).sub.mR.sup.2.sub.n (3) (In the formula, R.sup.1, R.sup.2, m and n are as the defined in the foregoing formula (1).
