To provide a pest control composition having an excellent controlling effect on pests, and a controlling method of the pests. The pest control composition having an excellent controlling effect on pests comprises etoxazole and a compound represented by formula (I): wherein, R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>6</SP>are each a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R<SP>2</SP>, R<SP>3</SP>and R<SP>4</SP>are each a hydrogen atom, a 1-4C alkyl group, a 1-4C haloalkyl group, or a (1-4C alkyl)carbonyl group; R<SP>5</SP>is a hydrogen atom, a 1-4C alkyl group, or a 1-4C alkylamino group; R<SP>6</SP>is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R<SP>7</SP>is a methyl group or an ethyl group; R<SP>8</SP>is an amino group, a 1-4C alkylamino group, or a di(1-4C alkyl)amino group; and X<SP>1</SP>and X<SP>2</SP>are each hydrogen atoms or X<SP>1</SP>and X<SP>2</SP>together form a single bond. |
