abstract The present invention provides a method for efficiently manufacturing a unit for a light-emitting device having a small thickness unevenness in an internal space with high production efficiency. A glass-made welded portion constituting member 25 is provided in a lattice shape between one of the glass plate base materials 21 and 24 disposed opposite to each other with a space therebetween. By welding the welded portion constituent member 25 to each of the pair of glass plate base materials 21 and 24, the unit base material 30 including the lattice-shaped welded portion 26 is produced. A plurality of light-emitting devices 1 are produced by cutting the unit base material 30 in each of the row direction and the row direction of the lattice-shaped welded portion 26. The glass ribbon 22 constitutes a portion of the lattice-shaped welded portion constituting member 25 extending in the first direction, and the glass paste forms a portion extending in the second direction.
