abstract The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a retroreflective film comprising the steps of: (a) providing a first substrate and forming a release layer thereon; (b) applying a reflective particle to the release layer, wherein a portion of the volume of the reflective particles is embedded in the release layer; (c) applying a colorant to the reflective particles and the release layer; (d) removing a portion of the colorant to cause the colorant to The reflective particles are not completely covered; and (e) a reflective layer is formed on the colorant and the reflective particles. The present invention also relates to a method of producing a retroreflective article using the retroreflective film obtained by the above method.
