abstract | An aerosol generating system includes a housing having a first portion (22) and a second portion (24). The outer casing comprises: an air inlet (26, 26a, 26b); a nicotine source (8); a volatile transport enhancing compound source (12); and an air outlet (28). The first portion of the outer casing and the second portion of the outer casing are movable relative to each other between an open position and a closed position. In the open position, the air inlet and the air outlet are unobstructed, and both the nicotine source and the source of the volatile transport enhancing compound are in an air flow passage through the outer casing between the air inlet and the air outlet. The medium fluid is connected. In the closed position, the inlet is not obstructed, or both the source of nicotine and the source of volatile delivery enhancing compound are free of fluid in a flow passage through the outer casing between the inlet and the outlet. The same, or both of them will happen. |
