abstract |
This invention relates to apparatus and methods for making polyamine polymers using additive injectors. In one embodiment, an apparatus for batch manufacturing a polyamide polymer is provided. The apparatus can include a salt paste container configured to produce a polyamine salt composition and an evaporator configured to reduce the water content of the polyamine salt composition to produce a polymerizable polyamine composition. The apparatus can additionally include a first autoclave operatively coupled to the evaporator such that a first portion of the polymerizable polyamide composition can be delivered from the evaporator to the first autoclave; and operatively coupled To the second autoclave of the evaporator, a second portion of the polymerizable polyamine composition can be delivered from the evaporator to the second autoclave. A first additive injector can be associated with the first autoclave and can be configured to inject an additive into the first autoclave. |
