A server device for transmitting media material, the server device comprising a first unit and a second unit. The first unit includes one or more processing units configured to: send descriptive information for the media material to the second unit of the server device, wherein the descriptive information indicates a byte of the section or section of the media material a range, and an earliest time capable of communicating a range of extents or bytes or a latest time of a range of bytes capable of delivering a section or section; and transmitting the media material to the second unit. The second unit thereby communicates the byte range of the segment or segment based on the descriptive information (eg, after the earliest time and/or before the latest time). |
