titleOfInvention Rolling machine
abstract The present invention relates to a rolling machine, in which rolls can be replaced rapidly and easily. It is unnecessary to adjust the roll depression thus the roll alignment and adjustment is simplified. The housing is split into freely separable and joinable first and second housing segments. The first and second housing segments have semicircular bearing holder segments formed in their joint surfaces. The shafts of the roll units R1 and R2 are held between the first and second housing segments by being journaled in eccentric cartridges which are fitted in the bearing holders consisting of the semicircular bearing-holder segments. The roll aligning and adjusting device comprises an outer nut fixed on the housing, a middle nut engaged closely with the outer nut, and an adjusting bar engaged tightly with the middle nut. A first thread formed by the outer nut and the middle nut, and the second thread formed by the middle nut and the adjusting bar, are opposite threads with different screw pitches, defined as a twin nut.
