abstract This invention relates to a method to produce a light-emitting element, in which after the construction of a lager-sequence (2, 3, 4, 5), which has at least one active layer, on the front side of a basis-substrate (1) made from semiconductor material, at least a part of said basis-substrate (1) should be removed and then said layer-sequence (2, 3, 4, 5) is connected with an outer-substrate (9). Said basis-substrate (1) is removed through a wetly chemical etching with an etching-medium that is selective for the material of said basis-substrate, then on the rear-side (6), which faces the front-side of said removed basis-substrate (1), of said layer-sequence (2, 3, 4, 5) is deposited a first metallic contact-layer (7) and on the front-side of said of said outer-substrate (9) is deposited a second metallic contact-layer (10). Such coated rear-side (6) of said layer-sequence (2, 3, 4, 5) will be connected with so coated front-side of said outer-substrate (9) under heating effect through eutectic bonding.
