abstract A disc recognition method is provided. First, a disc apparatus uses a laser with a first wavelength to irradiate a disc, thereby obtaining a first reflection signal, and uses a laser with a second wavelength, larger than first wavelength, to irradiate the disc, thereby obtaining a second reflection signal. Then, the type of the disc is recognized according to the first and second reflection signals.
