abstract |
The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device with a step difference between a display screen and the outermost surface, the step difference is not easy to identify and can realize a bright display. The liquid crystal display device of the present invention includes: a liquid crystal cell; a first polarizing element arranged on the back side of the liquid crystal cell; a cover sheet arranged on the visible side of the liquid crystal cell at a position corresponding to the display area of the liquid crystal cell It has a transmissive portion; and a second polarizing element, which is arranged on the visible side of the cover sheet in a manner to cover the transmissive portion. The absorption axis direction of the first polarizing element is substantially orthogonal to the absorption axis direction of the second polarizing element. |
