abstract A polarizer that can realize the multi-functionalization and high-functionalization of an electronic device, such as an image display apparatus. A polarizer 1 including a resin film containing a dichromatic substance, wherein the polarizer has a low dichromatic substance concentration portion whose content of the dichromatic substance is relatively low in the resin film. The low dichromatic substance concentration portion 2 is brought into contact with an acidic solution. The low dichromatic substance concentration portion corresponds to a camera portion of an image display apparatus on which the polarizer is mounted.
