abstract The present invention provides a fuel tank excellent in strength, low fuel permeability and durability in spite of its being light in weight as well as a method of producing such fuel tank by which the tank can be molded in a complicated shape with ease and at low production cost. The present invention is a fuel tank, produced by joining of at least two discrete parts of a tank and each having a laminate structure comprising a fluororesin layer and a thermoplastic resin layer in such a manner that at least the fluororesin layers of the parts are joined together to form the inner surface layer of the fluororesin layer.
