abstract An apparatus and method for measurement of power in an electric power transmission line and disturbances in a power grid is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a magnetic field sensor with at least two sensing coils for measuring the magnetic field at the electric power transmission line and transmitting magnetic field data to a processor. The magnetic field sensor is arranged proximate to but at a distance from the electric power transmission line.
