Disclosed is a method for preparing a compound of Formula 1 n n n n n n n n n n whereinn R 1 is CHX 2 , CX 3 , CX 2 CHX 2 or CX 2 CX 3 ; each X is independently Cl or F; Z is optionally substituted phenyl; and Q is phenyl or 1-naphthalenyl, each optionally substituted as defined in the disclosure; comprising contacting a compound of Formula 2 nn n n n n n n n n n with hydroxylamine in the presence of a base. n The present invention also relates to novel compounds of Formula 2, useful as starting materials for the aforedescribed method. |
