abstract | A halogen-containing flame-retardant fiber of the present invention includes: 100 parts by mass of a halogen-containing polymer containing 17 to 70 parts by mass of a halogen; and 1.3 to 20 parts by mass of a molybdenum compound that is at least one kind selected from the group consisting of molybdenum oxide, ammonium molybdate, molybdenum oxide supported on an inorganic filler and ammonium molybdate supported on an inorganic filler. The average particle diameter of the molybdenum compound as expressed in median diameter is 10 nm or more and less than 600 nm. The flame-retardant fiber product of the present invention includes the halogen-containing flame-retardant fiber. The production method of the present invention includes spinning a composition that contains 100 parts by mass of a halogen-containing polymer containing 17 to 70 parts by mass of a halogen, and 1.3 to 20 parts by mass of the molybdenum compound. In the composition for the spinning, an average particle diameter of the molybdenum compound as expressed in median diameter is 10 nm or more and less than 600 nm. |
