THE POWDER GELLING COMPOSITION WHEN ADDED TO WATER FORMS A GEL. TO THIS GEL MAY BE ADDID ACID OR ALKALINE MATERIALS FOR CLEANING, BIOCIDAL AGENTS FOR SANITIZING, OR OTHER MATERIALS TO PRODUCE A DESIRED EFFECT. THE SIGNIFICANT ADVANTAGE OF THIS METHOD IS THE INCREASED RESIDENCE TIME AND HENCE CONTACT TIME BETWEEN AGENTS IN THE GEL AND THE SURFACE TO BE ACTED ON.
