| abstract |
Apparatus for forming the thread and/or neck area at one end of a tubular parison comprises a collet having alternate jaws which are flared at the inward extension thereof and corresponding jaws which flare in a direction away from the center. The jaws which flare in a direction toward the center are biased outwardly and the other jaws are biased inwardly so that as the collet closes on a parison, no cracks are present between adjacent jaws. |
