abstract Production of a novel polyurethane-urea composition by (1) reaction of a hydroxy-terminated polymer with an excess of saturated organic diisocyanate to produce an isocyanateterminated prepolymer and (2) reaction of said prepolymer and a non-aromatic amine comprising a polyoxyalkylene primary diamine. This novel polymer when dissolved in a volatile lacquer solvent is characterized by a low, substantially constant viscosity. The polymer solution provides on evaporation of solvent a thermoplastic coating of excellent weathering and non-blocking characteristics.
