titleOfInvention | Apparatus for the continuous steaming of man-made fibers |
abstract | An apparatus for the continuous steaming, and more specifically shrinking, of fibrous material wherein a fibrous material is transported without tension on conveyor means through absolutely pure and air-free saturated steam within an open steamer housing defining a steam bell, the steam is caused to flow through the material, said saturated steam being produced under said steamer housing and owing to its relatively low specific weight automatically takes the place of the air which in its turn leaves the material owing to its higher specific weight. |
