Reactive calcium oxide is produced on an industrial scale by decomposing calcium carbonate having a grain size of less than 200 μm at a temperature of at least 850° C and at a CO 2 --partial pressure of not more than 40% of the CO 2 --equilibrium pressure corresponding to the formation of the reactive calcium oxide. |
