An antifibrotic substance P-1894B is produced by cultivating a microorganism belonging to the genus Streptomyces and being capable of producing P-1894B in a culture medium to have Antifibrotic substance P-1894B elaborated and accumulated in the cultured broth and recovering the substance. P-1894B is effective for the prophylaxis or treatment of the fibrosis due to excessive collagen accumulation in mammal. |
